The first years of Joe’s life were spent about 2 miles from the place where Foothills Community Church meets (on Tracy Road, just off Pleasant Prarie Road). When he was three, his family moved to the Colville Indian reservation where his dad taught school in Nespelem. During high school, the LORD got ahold of Joe and a desire to serve Jesus in some type of ministry began to take root.
After high school, Joe went to Chicago to study at Moody Bible Institute. After graduating from Moody, Joe married Andrea (a delightful midwestern girl). They lived and worked in Chicago for a few years and then moved to Iowa after they had their first son, Wesley. While in Iowa Joe worked at Twin Lakes Bible Camp as the program director. After 7 years at camp and two more kids (Elijah and Jedidiah), the LORD started to grow a desire in Joe to work in the local church.
When the opportunity of an associate pastor came up in the Pacific Northwest, Joe moved his family from Iowa to Washington. Joe’s desire is to encourage and help people understand the depths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ so they can be equiped to serve and share with those around them.
Joe enjoys anything adventurous (particularly things that involve a board…skate, snow, kite, wake). We can glorify God through recreation! He and his wife Andrea enjoy drinking a good cup of coffee together in the morning before their three active, rambuncious boys wake up.
